When Lalo immigrated to Canada with his family, he found himself longing for the little pleasures he missed from his homeland Mexico. With 2 young children he wanted to bring the healthier option of a paleta to the Canadian market. He set out to travel from Latin America to Italy to learn the craft of creating an exceptional frozen flavoured paleta from the masters of the gelato and paleta trade.

With the goal of creating the first authentic Mexican Paleta in Canada, Rico ‘n Lalo was born.

Lalo was joined by two families with a love for natural products and deep roots and connections to Latin America, focussed on delivering the freshest, most natural frozen fruit treat to health-conscious families.

Using only tropical and local fruits Rico ‘n Lalo makes the frozen treats that make people smile – the smallest of pleasures go along way!

Rico ‘n Lalo Paletas are a traditional Mexican frozen bar, made with fresh fruit in an artisan fashion. They are popularly sold in the streets of Mexico and many countries in South-America, offering a delicious, low calorie and low sugar treat for all ages.
